Technical Training Officers

ImageWe endeavour to keep our technical team aware of changing technology in the field of aeronautics and aviation. We conduct numerous courses to channel their expertise towards handling more sophisticated and modern equipment.
The following are training courses organised for the Technical Branch:

  • Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) Course
  • Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) Course
  • Senior Engineers Management Orientation Course
  • Quality Assurance Service (Aeronautical) Course
  • Qualified Aeronautical Engineering Instructor Course
  • Technical Branch Commissioning Course
Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) Course
The objective of the course is to direct the expertise of trainee officers to enable them in operating and maintaining sophisticated avionics and electronics equipment in service use. On completion of the training the officers assume independent responsibilities at functional levels in units such as Squadrons, Wings and Repair Depots.

Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) Course
The purpose of the course is to guide the engineering expertise of the trainee officers towards operating and maintaining sophisticated aircraft, aero-engine and armament equipment in service use. The course also introduces officers to the fundamentals of rocket technology.

Senior Engineers Management Orientation Course (SEMOC)
Officers with at least 10-15 years of experience in the Technical Branch, take this course. The objective of this program is to equip them with management skills and help them apply best practices to get increased performance from their team.

Quality Assurance Services (Aeronautical) QAS (AERO)
The course is aimed at officers working in the capacity of Quality Assurance Inspectors. They are trained for the production lines at the Base Repair Depot (BRD) procuring agencies.

Qualified Aeronautical Engineering Instructor Course (QAEIC)
This course is directed towards prospective officer instructors to introduce them to more progressive methods of teaching. They are made familiar with modern teaching aids to help them communicate more effectively.

Technical Branch Commissioning Course
The objective of the course is to train airmen before they assume responsibility as commissioned officers. They are trained to perform at functional levels such as Squadrons, Wing and Repair Depots.
